Dr. Uttam Sur is a distinguished expert in corporate sustainability, with over 20 years of experience in sustainability strategy, climate change, management systems, and regulatory compliance. Holding a Ph.D. in Environmental Biotechnology and multiple advanced certifications, including ISO Lead Auditor credentials, he has led transformative projects across Germany, China, Ivory Coast, Africa, Asia and beyond. As the Business Head of Valency Green, Dr. Sur spearheads innovative sustainability initiatives, focusing on ESG strategy, hazardous waste recycling, water-positive certification, and climate risk management. His leadership has resulted in significant cost savings and pioneering sustainability solutions. Previously, he held key roles at Hindalco Industries and Saint-Gobain, bringing a wealth of expertise in integrating sustainability into business operations.
